This offer:

  • only applies to standard delivery
  • only applies to basket totals of €300 (Benelux), or 525 (FR/DE) (inc VAT) or 1750 outside of Europe.
  • is not valid for next-day or weekend delivery
  • will be displayed as ‘Promotion Discount’ on the payment page and in your order confirmation email.

Do you ship to the UK?

We are also VAT/EORI registered in the UK and can safely ship to your UK-home!

Please note however, as from 1 January 2021, the VAT and customs regulations will make a distinction based on the value of the goods that are sent to the United Kingdom. The threshold is £135, these are the new rules:

Goods not exceeding £135 in value

The goods are liable to United Kingdom VAT, there will be no extra import VAT.

Goods exceeding £135 in value

The goods are liable to United Kingdom VAT. There is an import VAT of approximately 20%.

The Whisky wallet will need to add following documents (for UK customs processing) to parcels being sent to the United Kingdom as from 1 January 2021:

  • CN23 document
  • Original invoice or pro forma invoice and 3 copies
  • Single Administrative Document (if the shipment is worth more than €1000)

As a result shipping to the UK, due to the added administration, has become a little more expensive than before Brexit.

Do you ship to the Asia?

Yes, we ship regurarly to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and South Korea!

What about the USA?

We can ship to the following states in the USA:

Alaska (anchorage only), California, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Wyoming.

How do you pack for shipping, both safely and securely?

Sending bottles of whisky is a vulnerable affair, we’ve searched for a long time for the perfect shipping box that enabled us to package and ship quickly and break-free.

Our packaging is very sturdy and therefore break-resistant. Rest assured that all bottles will be properly packed up with usage of bubble wrap and foam flakes. In addition we’ll use multiple layers of cardboard, for example a box in a box.

Under no circumstance, bottles will be able to touch each other. Do not worry, most protection materials are light and do not lead to extra shipping costs.
They do prevent a lot of trouble though!

Please note that bottles with wooden presentation boxes may not be packed within the boxes but packed separately within your consignment and bulky packaging may be sent in separate parcels.

Delivery Addresses

We are happy to delivery your order to an address that is different to your normal billing address. To do this, simply enter the desired delivery address during the checkout process.

Damaged Parcels

We take pride in packing your order to ensure that it arrives in perfect condition. Unfortunately, there are times when parcels incur damage while in transit. If a parcel shows clear signs of damage or leakage at the time of delivery, we ask that you refuse the parcel. Please ask the courier to return the goods to sender.

In the very unlikely event of any damage, and you were not able to refuse the package, please contact us. Please include as much information as possible.
We may also require photographs of any damage including all the packaging for insurance purposes:

  • Photographs showing the detail of the damage or faulty items.
  • We also need a picture that clearly shows the seal intact on the damaged or broken bottle.
  • Please retain the product, box and all packaging until instructed by us.

Faulty items

We want all our customers to receive their orders in perfect condition so if you think there is a fault with an item you have received, please let us know straight away by contacting us. We will aim to resolve any issue with a faulty item as quickly as possible but we need you to tell us as soon as you discover the fault so we can resolve the issue for you.

Lost Goods

In the unlikely event that goods are misplaced on their way to you, The Whisky Wallet will ensure a replacement is sent directly to you, if available.

All discrepancies with the contents of your order must be reported to our Customer Services team on +32 496-64 30 96 within 48 hours of receipt of your order.

Where a replacement item is not available due to it being discontinued or the original item being a “One Off” we will reimburse your for the full cost of the item only. No compensation will be paid.

Additional charges and insurance conditions

  • all orders are insured by us at no extra charge up to a value of €250.
  • Orders of value in excess of €250 can be insured, for small fee, on request.

By accepting our terms and conditions, you agree to these additional charges where applicable to your order.

Standard delivery and applicable delivery restrictions

Our standard deliveries are made during normal business hours, Monday to Friday – To ensure successful delivery, someone of legal age must be present to sign for the parcel.

Provided we have the product in stock, all orders will be shipped within 2 business days and thereafter delivered within 3-4 working days.

Orders with Post Box Numbers as delivery addresses will not be dispatched and processing will be delayed while we contact you for a valid delivery address.

We’re also unable to accept orders for these address types:

  • Military Bases
  • Schools

On international taxes and Excise Duty

Please be aware that international shipments may be charged import taxes payable by the recipient before the courier will deliver. For delivery to non-EU countries, delivery cost will be non-inclusive of Belgian VAT (21%).

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. The amount may vary depending on the country to which the order was shipped. If you need more information, we encourage you to contact your local customs office for specific amounts and percentages.

The Whisky Wallet cannot control and is not responsible for any duties/taxes applied to your package. The customer will be solely responsible for paying additional charges for customs clearance.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local customs authority/office to obtain correct information based on your location. Note, in rare occasions customs may delay delivery of some packages.
