Whisky from Stauning gets more and more years on its back and it really starts shining through. The guys from Stauning know their trade. With this limited edition, they have really created something unique. A 6 year old with a lot extra juice and power in the ex-Sautes and ex-sherry casks.

Specifically, the whisky spent 3 years in ex-bourbon casks, which previously contained Makers Mark bourbon from the United States. Since then, it has had 3 years on French casks, which previously contained the Sautés, and Spanish casks, which previously contained Pedro Ximenez sherry.

Stauning? Ugh what? Diageo, the world’s largest spirit makes, has invested over £10 million into the Danish whisky brand Stauning.
The funding will allow Stauning to produce 50 times the 15,000 litres it currently produces per year. Stauning was started by nine people in 2005, and is now increasing its number of stills from 4 to 20. Rest assured, you will hear more from Stauning in the near future!
