The eighth edition in the PC series is once again bottled exclusively for travel retail. It was introduced to the Baltic Sea on the third weekend of January 2015, aboard a Viking Line vessel. The Celtic title “Oileanach Furachail” refers to the young apprentice who learns through careful observation of the old master and prepares for the day when he is no longer a disciple. We all know Master Distiller Jim McEwan, the “apprentice” is Adam Hannett. He has been working with McEwan since 2006. The whiskey matured for twelve years in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks and was bottled in 2014 at a cask strength of 58.7%.
