This bottling matured for 8 years in Recharred Oloroso Sherry barrels before it was bottled at cask strength with a whopping 57.1% alcohol. The history of Glengyle is closely linked to that of the famous Springbank Distillery and the Mitchell family, who have been the proud owners of Glengyle again since 2000.
