In 2009 Ardbeg released the 1st Supernova, the most peated Ardbeg ever. The Stellar Release was the regular release of the previously released Reserve Committee. It has a 100 ppm, which makes it even smokier than you are used to from Ardbeg. This Malt Whisky was distilled in 2000 and matured for eight years in bourbon barrels only. In March 2009, a limited quantity of 21,000 bottles were bottled.
